Guys, estradiol is not your enemy. š
A few years ago, just to prove it wasn't going to kill me, I took 1mg of Estradiol daily. Some of you may have already heard me talk about about this when we've gone over your lab work, but here's what I noticed.
My cholesterol significantly improved. Total cholesterol reduced from 306 to 194. LDL reduced from 265 to 133. Granted my triglycerides increased and my HDL decreased, I wasn't fasted for the follow up.
That kind of reduction significantly reduced cardiovascular complication risk. That's not all I noticed.
Some things that were not necessarily an issue improved such as libido, quality, and frequency. A part of this is because that reduced cholesterol allowed for better blood flow. I also noticed less inflammation, and smoother joint movement.
I had better short term memory recall. I'm bad enough with memory, so having improved short term memory was such a fresh thing. This is because of the neuroprotective benefits of estradiol that are commonly observed in post menopause females.
The last thing I noticed was that even though I had pubescent gynecomastia, it actually got smaller with my estradiol:free testosterone being higher.
In the past I had definitely done everything I could to keep my estradiol low, but after finding out how much better I felt with higher estradiol, along with how much healthier I am, I've stopped trying to suppress it and just let my body manage it naturally.
So guys, estradiol is not your enemy. It's needed, and without it we don't feel as good as we could.
