From enlisted to officer leadership—Lt Col Campbell’s journey defines service and dedication.

Entering the Air Force in 1999 as a Propulsion Technician, he spent 10 years in the engine shop, earned TSgt, and commissioned as a 2LT in 2008. Since then, he’s served as a Maintenance Officer, Squadron Commander, deployed Commander in Kuwait, and Wing Operations Center Director during COVID-19.

Now serving as Commander, Recruiting & Retention Flight under Kentucky Joint Force Headquarters, continuing to shape the future of the Kentucky Air National Guard.

⚡ What we do Wednesday, Drill Weekend Energy | Kentucky Air National Guard ⚡

As drill weekend approaches, you can feel the energy building. Our weeks get busy, the pace picks up, and the focus sharpens—and that’s because preparation matters.

When we come into drill, our Airmen are training hard across every mission set: executing meals for our troops, completing medical updates, loading C-130s, maintaining facilities, performing fire department duties and base security, keeping vehicles mission-ready, and pushing through fitness testing. Every role matters. Every skill counts.

We train now so that when duty calls, we are ready.

Military strong, mission focused—but still people who love what we do and have fun doing it together. Proud to serve alongside this incredible team. 🇺🇸✈️

SSgt Chandler joined the Kentucky Air National Guard one year ago after honorably serving 6 years as a Reservist at Wright-Patterson AFB with the medical team. Today, he proudly continues his service as a valued member of our Personnel team, bringing experience, professionalism, and dedication to everything he does.

Tip Tuesday: The holiday season can be joyful—but it can also be heavy for some. As we head into the New Year, remember to take care of your people. Reach out, check in, and look out for your wingman. A simple call or text can make all the difference.

When you join the Kentucky Air National Guard, you’re not just joining a unit—you’re joining a family. Being part of the Guard means showing up for one another, on and off duty. Let’s continue to support our KYANG family as we close out the year and head into the New Year together.
