When we had the pleasure to begin caring for Mrs. Moses, her devoted husband of 57 years, Dr. Moses, let us know that he intended to renew the wedding vows he has shared with his lovely bride for decades. Our thoughtful Admissions Director Tracy Graham relayed his wishes onto our Activities Team (who you might have seen we specially recognized this week). Ashley Rodriguez and Cece Farmer jumped on it and went straight to work.

With the help of our team of staff members, we were able to surprise Dr. and Mrs. Moses with a vow renewal ceremony. When Mr. Moses shared his wishes with us, he had no idea that we would make it happen, nor did the rest of their family. He was so touched that he had a beautiful plaque of appreciation specially made for our team, which he presented to our Director of Nursing Susan Greenwell. We would be remiss not to also recognize both Robert Flatt and Scott Gibson, our Administrator and Assistant Administrator respectively, for helping to make this possible.

You may have noticed the little red cardinal that appears to be sitting on Dr. Moses's hand which is resting on Susan's shoulder. Cardinals have been recognized by many as spiritual messengers of loyalty, devotion, love, and blessings evoking emotions of hope, connectedness, and inner strength. Our company carefully selected the cardinal for these very reasons to be included in our logo and branding. Put quite simply, this is our "why." Some also believe that when a cardinal crosses one's path, it is a message of love and protection from a deceased loved one. Mrs. Moses sadly passed away on October 17, 2022.

We are still in absolute awe of her love and legacy she leaves behind which has remained in all of our hearts today and certainly those of her family and friends. Dr. Moses and family, thank you for allowing us to serve and care for your lovely bride and giving us a beautiful reminder of kindness for one another, hope, and love.

Today is Spouses Day - please feel free to tell your spouse or anyone you love in the comments below and/or by sharing this very special story.

They do a wonderful job incorporating resident activities into staff appreciation activities, which truly makes this dynamic duo a couple of our . Thank you Ashlee and CeCe for all that you do!
