Three of these are semi-obvious....

We need to invest in our bodies to experience Wellness and that is always going to include movement, rest, and fueling it. As one client put it when I suggested a 90 minute session if he wanted the best results for a full body massage, "Well, I take my full body everywhere I go...". He understood that it takes intentional care to keep up with the physical demands of living.

Let's talk about the last one though.

Self Trust.

This starts as discipline, but then evolves. Some times we put a lot of pressure into meeting a goal we set for ourselves when we make rules. Ex: no sugar for 30 days, no carbs, or no drinking for X amount of time.

These kind of goals can lead us to not trust ourselves.

Having discipline and choosing in the moment to not do the things that we pay for later is how we develop self trust.

After some time of that practice, we experience the results and have a more knowledge in those moments. The knowledge that you can do it. The knowledge that if you choose staying up late, eating inflammatory foods, overextending your body-- that you will have to make up for it later. That is always going to take more work. Knowledge that you are fine when you pass up those momentary temptations.

Through that practice, you instead choose an uninterrupted experience of your optimal self.
