February 2026 Beehive Homes of Lyndon - Brandenburg - Smyrna’s Spotlight: Mark Bruner

Mark Bruner is truly family here at Beehive. He always walks in with a smile on his face and takes the time to greet both our employees and residents by name. Mark is constantly willing to jump in and help wherever he’s needed—whether that’s moving furniture, packing groceries, joining in exercise class, or reading the paper to our residents.

And if that weren’t enough, Mark even goes the extra mile by hauling walkers and wheelchairs to and from our outings so everyone can participate comfortably. He is an all-around kind, dependable, and respectful person, and we are so grateful to have him as part of our Beehive family.

Thank you, Mark, for all that you do—we appreciate you more than you know 💛

Cheryl is the Community Outreach Director for
BeeHive Homes of Brandenburg, Lyndon, and Smyrna’s.

Cheryl’s journey with BeeHive Homes is rooted in a lifelong passion for service, leadership, and heart-centered care. Born and raised in Muncie, Indiana, and a Louisville resident since 1987, Cheryl brings a strong educational foundation in healthcare administration, along with extensive experience in property management and real estate—a powerful combination that benefits our communities every day.

Her passion for senior care began when a close friend asked for her help in increasing occupancy at a skilled nursing and assisted living community. Through Cheryl’s dedication, relationship-building, and strategic outreach, the community’s census rose to an impressive 98%, igniting a lifelong commitment to assisted living.

Cheryl’s compassion for hands-on care also led her to work as a CNA at a respected rehabilitation facility, where she served as a private caregiver for a very prominent and well-respected family. That experience helped shape her deep understanding of dignity, trust, and personalized care—values she continues to bring to BeeHive Homes families today.

Her professional experience extends beyond Kentucky as well. While working in Naples, Florida, Cheryl collaborated with a prestigious property management board, strengthening her skills in homeowner and community relations—experience that translates seamlessly into her work supporting residents and families across our BeeHive Homes.

Outside of work, Cheryl treasures time with her two sons, daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, and her dog. Her warmth, professionalism, and unwavering commitment make a lasting impact on everyone she encounters.
