Help us spread awareness! 🕊️

Seeing our Youth Council took on the initiative & leadership to plan and run this event was inspiring! 💡🙌

👋 They greeted attendees at the door.

❓ They set up a table with trivia questions and engaged with everyone who walked by.

🍽️ They stepped out of their comfort zones to sit with team members and volunteers during lunch and led discussions about some pretty heavy topics.

🎁 They put a lot of care in putting together the resource bags and creating the list of questions to ask during the panel.

It was an amazing opportunity for them to take control of their own narratives and use their power to help others who have experienced trauma. 💛💜

🙏 Thank you to the partner organizations who participated!

Our Residential Treatment and Emergency Shelter (RTES) program provides temporary care to youth who are unable to remain with their families for various reasons.

While living at the Home, they receive an individualized treatment plan, including pioneering one-on-on & group therapies, but also live the normal day-to-day life of any other youth, going to school, sharing in chores, and participating in fun activities with their peers.

Donating your talents can make a huge impact! ✂️

Ahead of the start of the school year, local stylists from CAT&Lou Salon, Statement Barbershop, and Alter'd Culture by Danielle Woosley volunteered their time and skills to give our residents haircuts.

Youth from both the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center and our Residential Treatment and Emergency Shelter program participated in getting fresh looks. 😎

Today, we recognize Kim J., Recruitment and Licensing Specialist for our Therapeutic Foster Care program.

Kim transitioned into a new role just over a year ago, stepping away from direct work with families to take on the challenge of strengthening our licensing process.

Kim brings kindness, thoughtfulness, and purpose to every aspect of her work, always pushing for better results because she knows our young people deserve nothing less.

Her dedication to our mission and her embrace of all four core values make her a shining example of leadership and heart.
