💛✨July is Sarcoma Awareness Month! 💛✨

Sarcoma is a rare and often overlooked form of cancer that develops in the connective tissues of the body – such as bones, muscles, fat, blood vessels, nerves, and cartilage.

By wearing yellow, we stand in solidarity with the brave warriors, honor the survivors, and remember those we’ve lost.

Let’s raise awareness together and bring more attention to this important cause.

We honor the healing power of activity and fun in helping patients regain independence and rediscover what they love.

Check out these firework safety tips from The National Safety Council so that you can stay safe and enjoy the 4th festivities!

- Never use fireworks while impaired by drugs or alcohol.
- Anyone using fireworks or standing nearby should wear protective eyewear.
- Never light them indoors.
- Never throw or point fireworks at another person.
- Only light one device at a time and maintain a safe distance after lighting.
- Soak both spent and unused fireworks in water for a few hours before discarding.
- Keep a bucket of water nearby to fully extinguish fireworks that didn't go off or in case of a fire.

Recovery after a stroke is possible! Inpatient Rehabilitation can help stroke survivors regain independence. We work with patients to develop a personalized plan to help them reach their specific recovery goals. Treatment may include physical therapy, speech therapy or occupational therapy.
