We had an absolutely packed week of fun! Our residents were on the Go!!! - diving into comfort food at Metro Diner, savoring smoky BBQ at City Diner, soaking up the sun, and beauty of nature at the Botanical Gardens.🌹🌺 The smiles, laughter, and great conversations made the outings both worthwhile, and memorable.

We had a great time at Cracker Barrel in Bardstown last week. Always love the cozy atmosphere, comfort food and professional watering. Our residents spent some time buying a few miscellaneous items in-store. Later, we had a wonderful visit from our very own Amber, the therapeutic dog-in-training. Amber is sweet, well-behaved and always brings so much joy and comfort to our residents. Her visits surely brighten the darkest of days!!! What place do you think we should try out next week💕🐩

Yesterday our Health Care community came together to honor and remember four cherished residents who passed away in the month of August, 2025: James Decker, Robert Hutt, Emmet Patterson and Elma White. The memorial service was beautifully conducted by retired Minister of the Gospel, Reverend Richard Schnelle, together with prolific and published poet, Hillard "Old Man" Newsome. It was attended by family, friends and staff members who wanted to pay their respects and celebrate the lives of these wonderful individuals. We were especially touched to have Mrs. Decker, James's beloved widow, join us for this meaningful tribute. Each of these residents brought joy, wisdom, and special memories to our community. While we deeply miss their presence, their legacies live on in the hearts of all who knew them. A big thank you to everyone who attended and help make this service a fitting celebration of four remarkable lives 💕

🌟✨WHAT AN AMAZING WEEK!!!✨🌟

Thursday brought pure joy as our residents gathered with friends and family for a delicious lunch that filled both hearts and bellies. The atmosphere, the conversations, it was all a piece of Heaven. Friday was equally special with fantastic snacks and an ice cream buffet - a sweet celebration and thank you to everyone who provided valuable feedback on CSS. Seeing everyone's smile while enjoying their favorite treats was the perfect way to end the week. But perhaps the most heartwarming moment was watching our residents come together around the quilting table, with love and care as friends of E.A. Every knot for her was a wish for her speedy recovery. The bond of community and friendship truly shines bright during these moments. Our residents continue to show us what it means to be caring, connected, and loving. I'm so proud to be part of this community! 💕💕

🌟✨ARTISTIC AND "SPA-FUL" ✨🌟
What an absolutely incredible week it's been so far!!! Our amazing residents have been living it up, with everything from delicious meals, luxurious spa treatment that left everyone feeling pampered and refreshed, to unleashing their creative spirits, painting (promisingly) beautiful lighthouses. There's nothing quite like seeing our wonderful community enjoy a star-rated meal at a famous restaurant, trying new experiences, and making memories at the same time. From artistic expressions to relaxation, this week has shown us what living the life to the fullest looks like!!!💙💙

Sunday Brunch was absolutely delightful. Our Fall-themed brunch brought together the most amazing crews of families and friends, who left with hearts full and content!!! It's always special when our residents are surrounded by people they love, around a table filled with "everything nice". Watching cousins catch up, the Serdenis celebrate a birthday, friends become family, and everyone leaves with full bellies and big smiles ... this is what the Fall season is all about!!! Turns out Long Run Park was the perfect combo of "Let's get some fresh air and sun" and "We have been walking this long???" Our group had the best time exploring trails, soaking up some sunshine, and discovering why this park keeps showing up on everyone's recommendation list. Nothing says "successful" quite like having to do it twice because everyone wanted in on the fun!!! Between the delicious seafood, great company and those scenic views, its no wonder our little last week's Thursday adventure turned into a full-blown Friday encore. 🎵🐏A Day in The Life Of A Franciscan Resident🎉💅
From arts and crafts, glamour nails, signing Karaoke hymns, Happy Hour with the Evolution Band singing classic oldies, to playing balloon badminton and birthday celebration with the Wooldridge family, this week was jam-packed, as we ended Summer in a BIG way. And who can forget hot dogs in Trilogy's award-winning courtyard, or the Peacock artwork made with various sizes and colors of buttons. 🐏 Farm Fresh memories!!! 🐐
Between the bites of absolutely scrumptious sandwiches and the joy of feeding our four-legged friends, laughter filled the clean air, and new memories were created. There is something truly special about gentlle goats nuzzling your hands or fluffy sheep come over for a snack. Our Assisted Living and Health care residents enjoyed magical outings to Gallrein Farm on Tuesday and Wednesday. The fresh air, good food and animal companionship made the day a magical one. Thanks to Gallrein farm for giving our residents such a delightful experience!

What an absolutely spectacular Roaring 20s Casino event we had on Thursday. Our residents went all out and truly embraced the glamour of the era - from dazzling outfits, to non-stop smiles and laughter. The energy was electric as everyone tried their luck. The fun was contagious, the costumes fabulous, and the memories will last a lifetime. Seeing our residents light up with excitement and pure joy reminded us why these special events mean so much to our community. Cheers to an afternoon of unforgettable fun!!! 💕 💕
