Last week's Waterfront Wednesday brought great weather and an even better turnout! In addition to live music, food trucks and local businesses came together to support the community.

Lee Ann Ross and Natalie Warren from our Business Development team attended on behalf of The Brook Hospitals, sharing information about our services and engaging with children through a fun “wheel of emotions” game focused on healthy coping skills.

We’re always proud to participate in community events that raise awareness around mental health and substance use disorders.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about a stigmatized and often taboo topic. This month, we aim to shift public perception, spread hope and share vital information with those affected by su***de. Our goal is to ensure individuals, friends and families have access to the resources they need to talk about su***de prevention and seek help.

If you or someone you know needs support now, call or text 988, or start a chat at 988Lifeline.org. The 988 Su***de and Crisis hotline will connect you with a trained crisis counselor who can help.

This past weekend was a busy one for our Business Development team. In addition to supporting a Seven Counties Services Back to School event, Walter Holder Jr. attended the African American Male Wellness Walk at the Norton Healthcare Track and Learning Center.

Jenise Boyd, Director of Business Development, and Emily G., Director of Recreation and Activity Therapy, joined Bullitt County’s Balance & Beyond: A Mental Health Jam.

Both events helped raise awareness about mental health services and resources. The Brook Hospitals is always proud to be a community partner and share information about our services.
