Meet Lindsey Lankford.
Lindsey has been scribing at FCC since August 2024, where she serves as a dedicated volunteer supporting providers by documenting patient appointments with accuracy and care. In this role, she works closely with clinicians, gaining firsthand exposure to patient care while helping ensure that each visit is thoroughly and thoughtfully recorded. She began scribing at FCC to gain meaningful clinical experience, but also with a strong desire to give back and serve her community in a tangible way. One of Lindsey’s favorite aspects of FCC is the people. She consistently speaks about the kindness and supportiveness of both the staff and her fellow volunteers, noting that the welcoming environment makes every shift something she genuinely looks forward to. She especially values the opportunity to connect with patients, taking time to listen to their stories and contribute, even in a small way, to their care experience. These interactions have deepened her appreciation for patient-centered care and strengthened her passion for working in a clinical setting. Overall, she believes FCC fosters an environment rooted in respect, compassion, and collaboration, making it an ideal place to both learn and serve.
Beyond her individual contributions, Lindsey has also played a vital role in strengthening the scribe program. Through her enthusiasm and positive experience, she has helped bring in many new scribes, encouraging others to get involved and support FCC’s mission. Her initiative, leadership, and genuine belief in the organization have made a lasting impact, and FCC is truly indebted to Lindsey for her continued dedication and advocacy. Outside of FCC, Lindsey enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, often going for walks or runs to unwind. She values time with friends, especially when it involves playing games and sharing laughs. In her free time, she also loves baking and experimenting with new recipes, as well as exploring new restaurants and cuisines. Additionally, she enjoys reading, which provides both relaxation and an opportunity to continue learning beyond her clinical experiences.
