She’s very active and using the right approach and implant size is super important to making sure that she can get back to her activities as quickly as possible while also making sure that her result stays looking great for a long time.

Talk about natural! Enhancement is not as straightforward as most people think and natural results take planning a discussion. Here, we’ve achieved a great natural look that she is thrilled with.

This patient is very active and does quite a bit of weight lifting. Putting things above the muscle would cause movement during exercise that she didn’t want. We went with a sub-fascial approach that allows placement under the structural layer but on top of the muscle. This allows accurate placement without animation deformity.

An extra key to success with this approach is the use of mesh to lock in the position of the fold and prevent bottoming out over time.

Transformations come in stages. This patient did most of the hard work before seeing me, losing 170 pounds!

Her treatment involved a lipo-abdominoplasty, which is a combination of skin removal and liposuction to recontour the entire abdomen. This combination approach eliminates free space under the skin where fluid could collect. It also maintains more blood vessels and lymphatic vessels so that the incision heals better and swelling resolves faster.

Small implants can have big results!
This very active patient has a submuscular augmentation with a 210cc implant on the right and 230cc on the left. Cautious use of different sized implants is important to ensure excellent results. She has some existing asymmetry and precise implant placement can help camouflage this.
