Our hearts are heavy at Vitality Living Stony Brook. Many in our community have loved ones in harm’s way, and the worry weighs deeply on our residents and families.

For some, it brings memories of wars they lived through. For others, it means waiting and praying for the safety of someone they love.

During times like this, kindness and compassion matter more than ever. Please be gentle with one another. We are all carrying something on our hearts.

Some shamrocks turned out perfectly lucky…
Some looked like they’d had a long winter…
And a few of the bunnies appear to be questioning their life choices.

Morning Drive Through Beautiful Cave Hill

Today our Stony Brook residents enjoyed a peaceful morning drive through the historic Cave Hill Cemetery. The sunshine, the quiet roads, and the stunning monuments made for a meaningful start to the day.

We passed the National Cemetery section, honoring brave veterans who served our country.
We saw the resting place of pioneer hero George Rogers Clark
We visited the memorials of Kentucky icons Colonel Harland Sanders and Muhammad Ali
And we admired the beautiful angel monuments that brought so many memories and reflections.

We had some very distinguished visitors at Vitality Living Stony Brook this Presidents’ Day… 🇺🇸✨

Mr. Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln stopped by to greet our residents, share a few laughs, and pose for photos. History came to life right in our living room, and our residents loved every minute of it!

From stories of the past to smiles in the present, it was a sweet reminder that learning, laughter, and connection never grow old. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special visit happen—and to our wonderful residents who always welcome guests with open arms. When Martha moved into Vitality Living Stony Brook last week, she had no idea she’d be stepping into a beautiful reunion. Within hours, she and Norma discovered they weren’t just neighbors—they were high school classmates from DuPont-Manual, Class of 1955.

Seventy years later, they picked up right where they left off… sharing memories, laughter, and that special kind of friendship that time simply can’t erase.

Moments like this are why we love what we do. At Vitality Living, new beginnings often come with wonderful surprises—and sometimes, a dear old friend waiting just around the corner. 💕

Today our residents went underwater with dolphins—thanks to virtual reality! One minute we were in the activity room… the next we were gliding through the ocean, swimming alongside dolphins, and soaking up the calm of the deep blue sea.
