Happy Black History Month!

We are taking the time to address mental health in the Black community and identify areas where the community may need support. Discrimination affects mental health more than people may realize, and it's our job to provide support for those who are in need. Ways that we can support others through education, spreading awareness ,and providing access to resources. Help your community grow and work to make it a stigma-free and safe place for all.

Today is National Time to Talk Day!

This day is about encouraging others to speak about their challenges in mental health and gaining support in others around them. This is to encourage open conversation that breaks down stigma.

If you want to be a change in your community by creating a safe space, healthy and stigma free conversation, consider being a support group leader!

If you are a person with lived experience join us on February 20th and 27th at the support group leader training!

Recently within Louisville, the discussion of budget cuts within Jefferson County Public Schools has become a reoccurring conversation. Due to budget cuts being and agreed upon solution, making cuts within mental health providers became a topic of discussion as well. NAMI Louisville believes that Mental Health should never be in question when it comes to the youth in Louisville Kentucky. And thanks to our community speaking up about this, our concerns and voices are being heard.

Continue to make change within our community by using your voices so that our youth's mental health support is never questioned again!

NAMI Louisville is celebrating Martin Luther King Jr all week! This quote highlights the importance of starting even when you can't see the finish line. Alot of the time in our mental health journeys it's hard to start or continue to work on ourselves because we don't know where we'll end up or when we'll feel as though we have achieved our goals. We also might see the success of other's journey and start to feel discouraged. NAMI Louisville wants to remind you to keep going! You are doing good work by just taking that first step and reach out when you are in need of help.
