Yesterday JCPS unveiled a new plan to cut mental health professionals in schools. We need to mobilize quickly against this. Please reach out to your school board member this weekend. You can find their contact information here:

Sample message or create your own: “As a mental health professional in Louisville I strongly urge you not to sacrifice student mental health to balance the budget. General Assembly Day 3 is in the books. House Bill 279 would enforce requirements that insurance companies cover mental health and substance abuse disorders just as they cover physical ailments.

I’ll be posting more of my bills here as the session continues - stay tuned!!
