A BITTERSWEET FAREWELL...
As many of you know, my practice has been in contract negotiations with Jewish Hospital to continue performing tubal ligations where my practice is based. After many months, Jewish Hospital ended these negotiations without resolution and thus ended a path forward for me to continue performing tubal ligations there.

Due to these circumstances -- after much consideration and with great sadness -- I have decided to retire and to close the practice.

Over my career which has spanned four decades, it has been my greatest honor to care for my patients and help you to have your miracle babies. The world is a much brighter place with these children in it and I am humbled to have been able to help. I thank you all for allowing me to be a part of your families' stories and I will forever carry this honor and joy.

Wanted to share with other families.. Giving them hope when they think there’s none!! After researching and having a friend recommend Dr. Levin.. My husband and I looked/researched no further! We decided Dr. Levin was who we wanted to go with.
Had a tubal in 2011 (tied, burnt, and clipped).. When my husband and I married in 2020 we knew instantly we’d love to have a child (me with two, and him having none) together. We scheduled and finally had the opportunity to meet Dr. Levin, and had our tubal reversal July 14, 2021. Followed all strict instructions given to us to a tee.. June 8, 2022 (a month and some days shy of marking our one year anniversary for the tubal) at 39wks and 1 day.. 11:51AM.. Our baby girl, Aniyah Izabella, made her grand appearance into this world!! Weighing 6lbs 7oz and 19 inches long! Healthy as can be!!

TIME WASN'T ON MY SIDE

After my rainbow baby which was my 6th pregnancy I decided to have my tubes tied. My OB did Filshie clips 1/24/2007. I researched tubal reversal for several years and finally decided to do it in 2020, however I was in an car accident while walking and broke 3 of my limbs and had to postpone the surgery. We scheduled it for 4/26/2021 but could not start TTC until 8/2021 due to needing a 2nd arm surgery. Dr. Levin and his staff were very kind and responsive. Prior to surgery we had to do a FSH and my husband needed a s***m analysis. Ovulation was good but he had really thick semen and Dr. Levin advised us not waiting to move now bc time wasn’t on my side and with a OTC med fixed the semen issue. After 3 mths of tracking my cycle we were pregnant (44 and pregnant..wow). Had a great pregnancy for the most part and a healthy baby weighing 6lbs 7oz 20 in on 7/20/2022 only 10 days before EDD. We had an induction due to being on blood thinners and I was monitored closely during the pregnancy. Very thankful to Dr. Levin and his staff.

Amberly Perdue writes: I want to thank Dr. Levin and his staff they were amazing through the whole process. I thought I was done having kids, we had 5 and we seemed complete. I got my tubes tied in 12/2014. I started having a ton of problems health wise and no one wanted to believe me. I did some research and came across Dr.levin. With that being said I went through surgery and a 14 hour drive 8/5/2020. I ended up getting pregnant right away but had a miscarriage. Once cleared by my drs at home, we started trying again. We found out 12/2021 that we was pregnant again. We carried to term (longest pregnancy 39.3 weeks with little girl) born 8/25/2021. We was not trying but was in birth control and also breastfeeding, we ended up pregnant again in April 2022 .I am now 18 weeks according to Dr . Niaomi is the sweetest, Amazing, smart, she loves smiling little girl I’ve ever meet.

FIRST BABY TOGETHER

WHAT IF I CAN’T GET MY SURGICAL RECORDS?
We recommend that you do everything you can to obtain your operative note and medical records from your sterilization procedure. These pieces of information will give Dr. Levin invaluable information about what was done to your tubes during the sterilization so that he can best inform you about your chances of success and details for your reversal procedure. They will tell Dr. Levin things like: how much tube was removed from each side, what type of sterilization was done, if there were any other medical issues observed.
That being said, there are some patients who are not able to obtain their surgical records and go on to have a reversal and successfully get pregnant. So it is possible to do the procedure if you absolutely can’t access these records. If you find yourself in this situation, please let the office know when you are filling out your initial information. This is something that you will go over with Dr. Levin during your free, personal consultation. So again to recap: if you are able to obtain your operative note and records, it will allow Dr. Levin and you to be more informed going in to your reversal; however, if this is not possible, do not be discouraged you still may be a candidate for the tubal reversal procedure.
