Republican and Democratic lawmakers remain at a stalemate on finding a government funding solution. The Senate has continued to fail to advance bill that would reopen the government until Nov. 21. The House remains out of session this week.

The race is heating up in our Louisville Turkey Trot School Grant Competition — and the leaderboard is tighter than ever!

These schools are leading the flock right now, but it’s anyone’s race to win! The Turkey Trot is awarding a $500 grant to the athletic department of the elementary, middle, and high school with the most race registrations. 🦃

And don’t forget — registration is still 50% off through October! Every sign-up counts toward your school’s total. Students, parents, alumni, neighbors — everyone can help your school take home the win.

Show your Turkey Trot spirit and help spread the excitement! We’re looking for volunteers in Louisville, Superior, Lafayette, and Erie to display a Turkey Trot sign in their yard.

It’s easy — just DM us your address, and we’ll be happy to deliver a sign to you. Every sign helps rally the community and gets everyone excited for the big day!

For over 40 years, Community Food Share has been fighting hunger and nourishing our neighbors. Last year, your trot helped raise $76,000 — that’s a lot of meals! Let’s make this year even bigger. 💪
