Meet Alexis!

Louisville-born and raised, Alexis is a proud mom of two under two and a passionate doula with a heart for advocacy, inclusion, and real support for all birthing people. ✨

Her own birth journey inspired her to leave a decade-long career in food service management to walk alongside families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

When she’s not supporting clients, you’ll find her crocheting, cooking, or dreaming of her next Disney trip!

Last week we had the pleasure of chatting with Manual students about reproductive health, reproductive rights, and what a doula does. We were so impressed with their interest and questions and thrilled to see this as a part of their curriculum!

There’s nothing better than spending time to unwind, connect and dream as a group.

Here’s to our TENTH year and counting of supporting our community as they transition into parenthood. It’s been an honor to share those spaces with so many. ❤️

Yesterday Rebecca had the honor of speaking on the panel for the Louisville Independent Business Alliance’s Local Business Expo - celebrating 20 years!

For those of you who may not know her, she was a founding member and the original administrator for the “keep Louisville weird” campaign/LIBA when it started in the back of ear X-tacy, an iconic local record store.

It was so neat to hear from both the “OG Crew” and the current board and see all that has been accomplished in the last 20 years and what we hope to accomplish in the next 20. 🥳

We all know how important it is to shop locally, especially now. We’re proud to be LIBA members AND we can also be a resource to help you find other local businesses … especially in the throws of new parenthood!

Hopefully more pictures will follow but that’s what happens when you have commitments, juggle a business, and have sick kiddos at home. We know you know how that goes!

Congratulations to our friend, Nina! We know she will take amazing care of our clients at Women First - they’ll be so lucky to have you!

Women First is now offering physician-led midwifery care, and we are pleased to introduce Kristina “Nina” Berry, MSN, APRN, CNM, WHNP-BC, as the newest member of our team.

Nina brings expertise as a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She will be providing obstetric and postpartum care, managing labor and delivery, and performing uncomplicated vaginal births.
