Lifehouse Maternity Home Lifehouse Maternity Home is a safe home where pregnant women in crisis can find hope & healing. In 2007, we were talking about the dream of Lifehouse.

Now, because of hard work, faith in God, and many wonderful people giving of themselves, their talents, and financial resources, the dream is a reality. Some of the women who have come to Lifehouse had first sought an abortion. They chose life for their child because Lifehouse was here. Some of our miracles:

- The mother of our very first baby had made ten appointments for an abortion before finding Lifehouse. What joy and celebration we had as we held this first bundle of joy!
- 84 babies have been born through our program, with more on the way.
- Our first adoption took place in May 2009, and 15% of babies born have been placed with loving families
- Though we still struggle to make ends meet, God has been a faithful Provider. How You Can Help:
- Monetary donations - vital to keeping our doors open and program running
- Volunteer opportunities - share your talent and time in a variety of ways
- Introduce Lifehouse to your church - pastor, missions team, and small groups

🦋 A Season of Transformation 🦋

Monarch butterflies remind us of what’s possible. They endure one of the longest journeys in nature, and through their transformation, they emerge stronger and even more beautiful.
At Lifehouse, we see that same spirit in the moms who come through our doors. They’re seeking a safe, loving place to prepare for their babies—and along the way, they discover their own strength, resilience, and hope for the future.

Just like the monarch, their journey isn’t always easy. But with support, encouragement, and faith, something amazing happens: they grow, they heal, they spread their wings and they fly.

To celebrate and help the Monarch butterflies, plant milkweed in your yard. It is the only plant they’ll lay their eggs on. And if you’d like to celebrate and support our Lifehouse “butterflies”, mark Thursday, September 18 on your calendar and give to Lifehouse during Give for Good Louisville. Together, we can support transformation and help women soar. 🦋

A few weeks ago, Lifehouse staff made a road trip to Birmingham, Alabama for the Heartbeat International conference. Heartbeat International is a worldwide network of more than 3,800 pro-life pregnancy help organizations.

For over 50 years, Heartbeat has worked to develop leaders, rescue women from abortion, and provide education and support to pregnancy help organizations around the world. Dolli, Lyssa, and Shannon participated in several educational courses around leadership, maternity housing, development, programming and more.

The staff was able to network with other maternity homes from around the country and came away with some exciting ideas to better our programming and reach our supporters. Of course, any road trip would not be complete without a stop at Buccee’s. Special thanks go to Southeast Church’s Chapel in the Woods campus that helped make this educational opportunity possible!

This sunflower sprang to life in the middle of a barren new housing development. The topsoil had been stripped away, the weather was harsh, and a road was laid right over where its roots had begun to grow. Yet it persevered – pushing around the concrete, digging its roots deep, and blooming against all odds.

Even in hard ground, beauty can take root. You don’t need the perfect place to become your best self, just the courage to keep growing and blooming right where you are. 🌻
