We had so much fun in last night’s Warrior Yoga collaboration with !

We moved through a steady, strength-building class while learning the story of Virabhadra, the great warrior. This story is a reminder that true strength isn’t reactive or explosive. It’s steady, calm, and collected.

And here we are, excited to read our copies of Half City by Kate Golden ⚔️ 📚

Did you know that sometimes a “hard” yoga class can be so hard… that it’s actually easy?

Hear us out.

When a class is built around peak poses that only a few students can access, most of the room ends up watching instead of working. Without intentional strength-building and skill progression along the way, challenge becomes exclusive instead of meaningful.

At Yoga Baum, we teach our trainees how to scaffold classes thoughtfully, how to build strength, introduce skills progressively, and create a clear pathway so every student knows exactly what to work on.

The result? A practice that’s about process, not performance. A room where beginners and experienced students alike can find real challenge because they understand the journey that leads there.

This is what we mean when we say we prepare our trainees to walk into a real classroom with confidence.

Our upcoming 200-hour yoga teacher trainings are open for application. If you want to learn how to teach in a way that’s intelligent, inclusive, and empowering apply soon.

One of the biggest fears new teachers carry is not knowing what to do when someone walks into a class with needs they didn’t anticipate.

In our 200-hour teacher training, we don’t just teach you how to sequence a beautiful flow. We teach you how to teach real people, including special populations like prenatal students.

This is Sara demonstrating a prenatal-friendly flow. Notice: it’s not complicated. It’s thoughtful. Once you understand what to include (and what to avoid), the fear melts away and confidence takes its place.

Our trainees graduate prepared to step into a classroom with diverse bodies, experiences, and needs and teach safely, intelligently, and compassionately.

Applications for our spring and summer training are open. If you’re ready to feel capable, not just certified, we’d love to talk with you.

Sometimes people come to teacher training just wanting to learn more about a practice they love and something bigger unfolds. That’s what happened for Emily, who has built a beautiful career for herself.

Here's what Emily had to say about her training:
“I began my 200-hour training at Yoga Baum simply to deepen my knowledge of a hobby I loved. As I taught more classes and gained confidence, that hobby grew into my full-time career. The program was thoughtfully taught, deeply supportive, and truly life-changing. I highly recommend it to anyone feeling the nudge to say yes.”

If you’re feeling that nudge, whether it’s about teaching, learning, or simply saying yes to yourself, we’d love to talk with you.

Spring and Summer 200-Hour Teacher Training applications are open. Join us and see where the knowledge takes you.

✨ from trainee to teacher ✨

One of our favorite parts of teacher training is getting to watch people grow into themselves as teachers and Corey is such a beautiful example of that.

Corey completed our Spring ’25 Teacher Training and is now teaching here at Yoga Baum. During training, she showed up with curiosity, care, and a deep commitment to creating classes that are thoughtful, accessible, and welcoming. Seeing her step into the role of teacher has been such a joy.

Here’s what she shared about her experience:

“Yoga Baum teacher training was an incredible experience for so many reasons. I got the privilege of working with kind and knowledgeable facilitators who cared just as much about me as a person as they did about me learning the material, and there was abundant opportunity for hands-on practice and support. I didn’t just learn to teach a sequence, but how to approach classes with creativity, as well as how to create a safe and supportive environment for all. I appreciated how much focus was placed on making classes accessible, trauma informed, and welcoming, and I love being able to apply these skills in my classes now. If you’re at all considering teacher training, absolutely do it, you will not regret it!”

We’re so proud of her and so grateful she’s now part of our teaching team!

✨ There’s still space in our upcoming Spring Teacher Training, which begins February 26th.

If you’ve been feeling curious this might be your moment.

Apply soon. We’d love to support you on this path.
