Today we observe 1216 Day, a deeply meaningful day for New Leaf Clinic, as we honor the life, recovery, and legacy of Mike White.

Mike celebrated 20 years of recovery, with 1216 marking his sobriety date. His journey stands as a powerful reminder that long term recovery is possible, sustainable, and worth fighting for. Though Mike is no longer with us, his impact continues to be felt through the lives he touched, the hope he carried, and the example he set for so many walking the path of recovery.

At New Leaf Clinic, 1216 Day is more than a date. It represents perseverance, accountability, grace, and the belief that people can and do change. Mike’s life embodied these values, and his legacy lives on in the work we do every day and in the courage of those we serve.

We honor Mike today by continuing the mission he believed in so strongly showing up for one another walking alongside those in need and never giving up on the possibility of a new beginning.

Thank you to our staff, clients, and community for being part of this shared commitment to recovery and hope.
