Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and its possible link to autism has been making headlines again.

Our Chief Programs Officer, Dr. Rebecca Jackson, was featured on KREX to weigh in. Her perspective:
🧠 Some studies point to a correlation, some don’t.
🧠 It’s about more than a yes or no answer.
🧠 Rising rates of autism, ADHD, and anxiety remind us how important brain health really is.

Parents often ask: What does brain development have to do with my child’s focus, behavior, or mood?

The truth is, everything. Development lays the foundation for executive function — the ability to plan, organize, and follow through. It also impacts emotional regulation, social skills, and learning.

When a child struggles in these areas, it’s not their fault. And it’s not your fault. 💛

👉 And this is just the beginning of the conversation. All month long, we’ll be sharing insights and resources for families navigating ADHD.

“Will my child outgrow ADHD?” It’s one of the most common questions parents ask.

While growth and development can bring changes, research shows ADHD brain differences often persist into adulthood. That’s why ADHD is no longer considered only a childhood disorder — but a lifespan disorder.

💛 The good news is that understanding these differences gives families a path forward. With the right plan, children and adults can strengthen brain areas that support attention and executive function.

📌 This month, for ADHD Awareness Month, we’re sharing some of our most valuable insights to help families better understand ADHD.

What is the difference between these two photos? The first one is the incorrect way to do the flexed arm hang and the second is the correct way!

Building brain-body connection starts with control — a proper flexed arm hang isn’t just about strength, it trains focus, coordination, and neuromuscular balance. Stability up top supports stability up here 🧠💪

If your child needs more—more repetition, more guidance, more time—you’re not alone.

Lynn Brittnacher, former teacher of 25 years and now Director at Brain Balance of Wisconsin, shares how these conversations (like asking a teacher to go over a math problem together) aren’t just helpful—they’re necessary.

Some children need more support than typical peers their age—and that’s okay!

Allison's son really wanted to play baseball, but he couldn't make contact with the ball. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and even reading all connect back to how the brain processes and integrates information. When a child struggles with visual or auditory processing, or when brain connectivity isn’t strong enough, everyday skills like handwriting, reading, or even making contact with a baseball can feel out of reach.

The Brain Balance program strengthens these connections through a unique blend of sensory, motor, and cognitive exercises. As the brain becomes more efficient at processing information, kids can improve coordination, focus, and learning skills—building confidence both in and out of the classroom.

“Some changes that we’ve seen: he’s now on a baseball team and doing so well. He’s reading beautifully now, his hand-eye coordination has improved.”

Brain Balance is a short-term program designed to create lasting change in the skills that matter most—whether it’s in school, on the field, or in everyday life.

If your child is facing issues with their motor skills, whether or not they're interested in playing sports, we can help! Comment GET STARTED below and we’ll DM you the details.

Dyslexia and Dyscalculia aren’t just “reading and math problems”—they’re learning disorders rooted in poor connectivity across different regions of the brain. Research from Cambridge University has shown that when the brain’s networks aren’t communicating efficiently, it makes learning much harder. Dyslexia didn’t stop Kennedy from working hard — but it made life harder than it needed to be.

That’s where Brain Balance comes in. Our program is designed to strengthen brain connectivity through a unique combination of sensory, motor, and cognitive exercises. By improving how different areas of the brain work together, kids and young adults can see meaningful improvements in focus, learning, and confidence.

The best part? Brain Balance is a short-term program—giving families the tools to see lasting change in school and in life. Just ask Kennedy, who saw remarkable progress in only a short time after enrolling in Brain Balance. Their success story is a reminder that with the right support, big breakthroughs are possible.

Listen to how our amazing team at Brain Balance of South Carolina helped change that. 💬

If you or your child are struggling with dyslexia, you're not alone. Comment GET STARTED below and will DM you more information on how we can help.
