“I have weird ni***es” is something I hear time after time. While I completely understand where you are coming from, my response is always the same- “Your ni***es aren’t weird, they’re just ni***es”. I feel like there is a stigma around what a womans ni***es should look like, and let’s be real- once you begin on your breastfeeding journey your ni***es (in all their uniqueness) have NEVER seen so much daylight!
Ni***es aren’t always perfectly round, protruding, twin sisters, with smooth flat areolas. I mean, they can… but often times they aren’t. MOST of the time one is larger than the other, one may have damage from a ni**le piercing being ripped out, some crease, are angled, flat, inverted, sensitive, blistered even + the list goes on and on.
I feel like this muffin pan of cornbread muffins sums it up pretty perfectly, they’re just ni***es… like these are just cornbread muffins. 🤷🏼♀️
