"Learning lifesaving skills empowers anyone. I have experienced choking events with both my sons and if it weren't for first aid training, I would more than likely panic and not respond the right way."

Austin Slate is a Navy sailor and Red Cross instructor who helps teach service members first aid. His work helps ensure they have lifesaving skills that they can take with them to civilian life.
