Why do we send flowers to funerals? The use of flowers is actually one of the oldest burial customs there is, with archeological evidence of flowers being used at burial sites dating back to 62,000 BC!

The modern use of flowers had a much more practical responsibility - to mask smell. Fortunately, that is something that we do not have to combat anymore, and while the frequency of sending of flowers has lowered, it is a tradition still upheld by most families.
