It has a diameter of 1.68 inches and its mass is 1.62 oz. It's small but it plays a BIG role in ensuring the success of our mission.

Our annual golf scramble is the primary way we ensure the continuation of our aftercare program and operations. At this special event, individuals and businesses from the community show their support through sponsorships and teams in the scramble.

Even those who cannot attend will send donations or participate in our raffle because they believe in the work of the Beacon House and want to help in some way.

To make it even sweeter, this event is in memory of a wonderful supporter of the Beacon House –Dick Barrett!

This year is no different. We're gathering on Sept. 22nd to honor, to raise awareness, and to raise support.

We need your help now more than ever! Over the past year, our program has grown. We offer even more to our residents through the addition of clinical services. We have new faces within the residential facility. We can't slow down! We must press on and be the beacon of hope and accountability that so many men need in the face of substance abuse.

This is a ᴘᴜʙʟɪᴄ ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ ᴀʟᴇʀᴛ we wanted to re-share from the Kentucky Department for Public Health and the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy:

Do not consume 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and Kratom products due to the risk of severe adverse reactions, which include but are not limited to:

-Liver toxicity
-Seizures
-Addiction
-Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome in newborns following prolonged exposure to Kratom before birth

Kratom, is a tropical tree native to Southeast Asia. 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and kratom leaves are made into a variety of products such as drinks, pills, teas, gummies, and more, to self-treat conditions such as pain, coughing, diarrhea, anxiety, depression, opioid use disorder, and opioid withdrawal.

It has been identified as a drug of concern by the Drug Enforcement Administration and has NOT been approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for use in any drug or supplement products in the U.S. due to the risk of serious negative health effects.

There are no guarantees that Kratom products contain the ingredients that the packages claim, that active ingredients are present in the correct concentrations, or that products are free from contaminants or other drugs. Kratom in its modern forms, especially 7-OH when concentrated or synthetically made, poses new and serious risks to the health and safety of consumers.

Our men served with SOS International recently. Way to go, guys!

If you haven't heard about this organization, they collect and distribute life saving medical equipment and supplies to the neediest communities around the world.
