Egg quality vs. egg quantity — what’s the difference?

More eggs doesn’t always mean better chances. It’s about quality AND quantity. Learn how each impacts your fertility journey and what to focus on. ✨

Quantity refers to how many eggs remain in your ovarian reserve.
Quality describes how healthy those eggs are — and whether they’re likely to fertilize and develop into a healthy embryo.

It’s possible to have a lower number of eggs but still great quality — which is what truly matters most.

Your care team at Fertility & Endocrine Associates can evaluate both to help guide your next steps.

Endometriosis happens when the same type of cells that normally line the uterus grow in other areas, like the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or pelvic cavity.

This can lead to:
- Pelvic pain
- Painful or heavy periods
- Fertility challenges
- Or sometimes, no symptoms at all

Because endometriosis can cause scarring, inflammation, and even impact egg, s***m, or embryo quality, it can make it more difficult to conceive.

💡 The good news? With the right diagnosis and treatment, many women with endometriosis are able to build the families they’ve dreamed of.

If you’ve been struggling with infertility, you’re not alone — and help is available. Contact us at www.ivfkentucky.com 💕

For some women, ovulation doesn’t happen regularly on its own — but that doesn’t mean pregnancy isn’t possible. 💙

Ovulation induction uses safe and effective medication to help the ovaries release eggs, increasing the chances of conception.

This treatment may be paired with:
Timed in*******se
Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
In vitro fertilization (IVF)

Our expert physicians start by identifying the underlying cause, like PCOS or other conditions affecting ovulation, then create a personalized plan with the right medication for your body.

Sometimes, a little extra support is all it takes to make your dream of parenthood a reality. ✨

✨ What happens to embryos after you’ve completed your family?
For many patients, IVF results in embryos that remain frozen even after their family is complete. One meaningful option is embryo donation — giving another hopeful family the chance to experience pregnancy and parenthood.

Our patient Abbey who conceived using a donated embryo shared:

"After four long years of infertility, we finally welcomed our son Judah using a donated embryo . Holding the titles of “mom” and “dad” is truly life-changing. And it wouldn’t be our reality without a donor family who generously shared the opportunity to give their embryos life. We are forever changed!"

Choosing to donate embryos is a deeply personal decision, but it can truly be a gift of hope — allowing your embryos the chance at life while helping another family fulfill their dream of parenthood.

💬 If you’d like to learn more about embryo donation and what the process involves, our team is here to guide you with compassion and respect.

Did you know pregnancy via donated embryos is an option for growing your family?

This option allows hopeful parents to be matched with embryos that have been donated by families who have completed their own journey. The embryos are then transferred, giving you the opportunity to carry a pregnancy and experience childbirth.

This path can be a beautiful option for families struggling with infertility, offering both the joy of pregnancy and the chance to welcome a child into your family.
Every family’s story is unique — and using donated embryos is one more way to create the family you’ve been dreaming of.
If you’d like to explore whether using donated embryos is right for you, our team is here to answer your questions.

PCOS (Polycystic O***y Syndrome) is a hormonal condition that affects 1 in 10 women of reproductive age.

Common symptoms include irregular periods, excess androgens, and small cysts on the ovaries — and it can impact ovulation, making conception more difficult.

The good news? With the right treatment plan, many people with PCOS can and do get pregnant!

If you think you may have PCOS, early diagnosis and support can make a difference. We're here to help.
