We’re proud to share that Dr. Wharton has accepted an exciting new role as Head of Dermatology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine! His last day seeing patients at Louisville Dermatology will be October 31.

☀️ Warmer weather = more time outdoors… and more bugs! Here are a few dermatologist-approved tips to help prevent bug bites this season:

1️⃣ Use an insect repellent with 20–30% DEET
2️⃣ Wear protective clothing and pre-treat it with a repellent containing permethrin (follow label instructions!)
3️⃣ If you’re sleeping outside, use bed nets to guard against mosquitoes

🛑 Bug bites can still happen, even with precautions. If you experience a rash, fever, or body aches, see your doctor or dermatologist right away.
