Our Role

The LuCa National Training Network was established to fill this knowledge gap by providing training and materials to primary care providers, as well as technical assistance to those who educate primary care providers and other health care professionals on lung cancer risk reduction, early detection, treatment, and survivorship care.

LuCa offers:

Free web-based training, including interactive CME/CE learning modules and webinars

Practice tools and resources for both providers and their patients

Technical assistance on how to reach providers through academic detailing, group presentations, and webinars

LuCa strives to:

Engage health systems in the delivery of optimal lung cancer care

Create partnerships with national and state professional organizations, government agencies, and non-profit groups

Work with national partners to develop customized education and training programs

Provide technical assistance

Facilitate collaboration among organizations and individuals with vested interest in lung cancer care

Research and communicate lung cancer care updates

Offer multi-modality, continuing education programs to multi-disciplinary health professionals

Share office-based tools to enhance the delivery of best practices in prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship care
