Just our reminder for our February 19th meeting at the Jeffersonian from 10am - 2pm.

Come join our Cuddle Care day meeting to sew quilts for Norton’s
Children’s Hospital by sewing squares together and then cutting sections apart to sew back together on point! That’s a challenge in itself, but Stephanie has added a new twist so that the triangles along the edge will all be the same color!

There will be 5” blocks for sewing on point quilts for Cuddle Care. You are welcome to bring & share additional blocks.

Please come early to help with setup and socialize.

Our first meeting of the year had a lot going on, but Vice President Carol did a great job of keeping the ship upright! We had the quarterly business meeting, two new members join, and a ship load of information about upcoming events. We wish President Julie a speedy recovery from her knee surgery! 2025 was a great year for Louisville Nimble Thimbles:
• Increase in membership from 87 to 101 members! WOW!
• Boutique, FB Marketplace, and Farmer’s Market Sales brought in approximately $20,000! WAY TO GO TEAM!
• Cuddle Care donated over 1,000 quilts to Norton Children’s Hospital. OUT DID YOURSELVES!
• Maryhurst totes donations for the girls increased this year! HARD WORK PAID OFF!
• Our Patriot quilts were presented to all female Veterans this year with quilts being given to five women at the G.I. Joe Post in Jeffersontown. WONDERFUL TRIBUTE!
• Added to our guild supported charities is a new group, SHP (Sleep in Heavenly Peace), an organization for building beds for children living in some of Louisville’s poorest zip code areas. LNT will donate quilts as part of the supplied bedding.
• Programs offered a “My First Quilt” workshop to teach brand new quilters the steps in completing their very first quilt, with twelve new quilters participating and several experienced LNT members assisting.
• Most Board members and Committee members chose to continue their work in 2026 leading our guild to continued successes and new adventures! DEDICATED! We are always appreciative and thankful to anyone who wishes to serve the needs of the guild in whatever capacity you choose. All members are
welcomed and valued.

It’s that time of year for the annual LNT Holiday party! Quilted Joy gift cards went to CJ, Joann, Dana, and Judy. Folks holding FQ’s were high scorers in the quilting acronym game. Sew and tell was a display of the members’ talent and we ate way more food than necessary! Thank you Hospitality Committee for your hard work. Happy Holidays to all!
