Name: Laura Kaufer

Title: Chronic care manager

Meet Laura! She has been working in her current role as a CCM since the very beginning of the program (3 years and counting)! Prior to this, she accumulated a wealth of experience in kidney care working as a medical assistant for us here at NAK!

Laura lives for her role as a CCM. She values the opportunity to help patients know they have a person in their corner who will help them advocate for their health and wellness! 🫶

She looks forward to continuing her role as a CCM and strengthening our patients relationships with themselves, their health and with our team here at Nephrology Associates of Kentuckiana. Thank you 🙏 Laura from all of us for the work you do helping patients!!

Happy Physician Appreciation Week!!

This week, we celebrate Physician Appreciation Week—a time to recognize the incredible dedication, compassion, and resilience of physicians everywhere (but in our very humble opinion ours are the best ❤️)

Behind every diagnosis, every late night, and every difficult decision is a person who has committed their life to caring for others. Physicians show up day after day, often sacrificing time with their own families to ensure the well-being of ours. Their expertise saves lives, but it’s their empathy and humanity that truly make a difference.

Thank you to all physicians for your unwavering commitment, your resilience, and your ability to explain complicated things in a way we almost understand. Your dedication does not go unnoticed—and yes, we hope you get at least one full coffee while it’s still hot this week.
