I am happy to report that we can reopen next week. It has been a long couple months and I have been very proud of Kentucky and how our state has handled this pandemic.
As I look to reopen the office, there is need for many changes to happen to ensure the safety of everyone in our office. Below are some guidelines that we all need to follow to help support the reopening of our state and the health of our community.
1. Prioritize Telemedicine: If we can conduct an office visit by phone or video, that is the best option. Our office will call you the day before your scheduled appointment and review your options with you.
2. Patient Screening and waiting room: a phone call on the day before your appointment will be made to you. If you are coming in to the office, you will need to be open with us and let us know if you are sick or have a fever, or have had a fever in the last 3 days. Your temperature will be taken when you enter our office. A mask MUST be worn the entire time you are in the office. When you arrive at the office, please call and let us know you are here. We will call you back when we are ready for you to be put in an exam room. Anyone presenting for COVID 19 testing, with or without symptoms, will be seen in their car.
3. Bloodwork lab appointments: if you are coming in for bloodwork to be drawn by our Labcorp phlebotomist, please come in to the office with your mask on. We will take your temperature before being taken back to the lab. Again, bring a mask with you and wear it at all times.
We are taking every precaution in the office and in the exam rooms to keep the area COVID 19 clean. Currently appointment times are only until 11:30. We will adjust our schedule on a weekly basis, depending on orders from the Governor and how everyone adjusts to our new policies.
Thank you!
