Mission Statement:

The Cultural Consortium unites the community and cultural organizations to identify, promote and enhance real world educational opportunities in Kentuckiana. Vision Statement:

The Kentuckiana Cultural Consortium will serve as the pre-eminent cultural and education resource for teachers and the community to enrich, nurture and support life-long learning. The Kentuckiana Cultura

l Consortium is a network of over 80 organizations in the Louisville Metro area which provide educational programming for students. The Cultural Consortium has a storied history going back to when a special arts grant was awarded to JCPS and coordination with community arts and cultural organizations was required to facilitate the implementation of the grant. Then, in the 1978-79 school year, the Kentucky Department of Education mandated all field trips meet educational standards. The Cultural Consortium expanded to include all subject areas and all organizations providing educational programming for students. As time has gone on, membership in the Cultural Consortium grew from a handful of area organizations to more than 80! And the mission and vision of the Consortium includes all schools and school systems in the region.
