What’s your favorite condiment?? I’m a MAYO gal, through and through 🥇
I used to say that mayonnaise was my biggest “pregnancy craving“, then I got real and admitted that I just love it all the time! 😂
Luckily, there are now healthier versions of this creamy, dreamy favorite. Keep reading to see the pros and cons of each brand, and why mayonnaise is actually a ** healthy craving for one of the Ayurvedic doshas /digestive styles…
Pros of both-
-made with avocado oil,
-lower sodium than most,
-no artificial colors or flavors or preservatives,
-glass jar (to avoid endocrine / hormone disrupting effects of plastic)
WINNER 🥇 = the CHOSEN FOODS brand!!
Why?
It’s made w Organic ingredients(whereas Sir Kensington is not), slightly lower sodium, and a more tangy, pleasant flavor, in my opinion! That last part is “in the eye of the mayonnaise beholder.”
The Chosen Foods brand was also on sale at Kroger 🙌. $8.99 as opposed to 11.99 for Sir Kensington.
Pros & cons of Mayo (Ayurvedic perspective)
For those with a “drier” digestive style like mine, adding and oily, healthy fat foods can be beneficial for digestive ease. If you are the type who is trying trying to lose weight or has heavy and sluggish digestion, mustard, or a more acidic and lower fat dressing like a vinaigrette would be a better option for you.
