Today, we spotlight the importance of mental wellness and access for everyone.
Some key numbers to know:
🔹 Over 970 million people globally lived with a mental disorder in 2019, with anxiety and depression among the most common. (WHO)
🔹 Nearly 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year (about 23.1% in 2022), equivalent to 59.3 million people. (nimh.nih.gov)
Alarmingly, many people do not receive care. There's still a large treatment gap worldwide, especially in countries with fewer resources. (WHO)
✨ It’s not just about awareness, it’s about action. Good mental health at work, in communities, and in homes can dramatically change lives. Safe, supportive environments are protective; stigma, poor work conditions, and isolation are serious risk factors. (WHO)
