Elevations Float Tanks and Spa Elevations Float Tanks and Spa in Louisville, KY will open in 2015. We will have Floatation tanks, also known as sensory deprivation tanks.

Floatation, also known as floating, float therapy, and R.E.S.T (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy), involves lying in a specially designed pod (or float room) in a solution of 800 pounds epsom salts and water. The solution is heated and is maintained at skin temperature, as is also the air temperature in the room. The 10 -12 inches of the epsom salt and water solution keeps the body buoyant, and the body floats like a cork, giving the illusion of weightlessness. Weight taken off of the muscles and joints will lead to stress relief, relaxation and pain reduction. Floatation also helps people to sleep better, focus more and with creativity.
