According to Northwestern Medicine®, “It’s a myth that you only use 10% of your brain. You actually use all of it, even when you are sleeping. Neurologists confirm that your brain is always active.”
That’s a pretty cool fact!! Our brains work so hard for us every day! It’s important that we protect them from injury and keep them as healthy as possible!

Today is World Brain Day!! 🧠
According to the Brain Injury Association of America, “Helmets reduce the likelihood of brain injuries by 65 percent to 88 percent.”
Make sure to strap on that helmet to protect your brain any time you’re getting on a bike or doing another activity where a helmet might be necessary!! They can truly save lives!

One of the requirements when it comes to getting an MRI is removing all jewelry and metal objects from the body. If you’ve gotten permanent jewelry, such as a permanent bracelet, this can make things a little more difficult. 💍
Don’t take that jewelry off just yet! We have good news!! At ProScan Imaging Louisville, we have our Open Extremity MRI that doesn’t require your whole body to enter the MRI machine! Just insert the extremity that needs to be scanned (as long as there is no jewelry or metal) and you’ll be on your way!
