Hello everyone!

We are back with a new look and a new focus.

I've thought a lot about this shift in focus, and I feel really excited about it and deeply aligned with the new direction.

I began as a trainer/wellness coach with the aim of helping people achieve their weight loss goals.

Really with the desire to help them learn to live healthy lives.

I still believe that work is important and needed and will offer that service to those interested.

But as I worked with people and had conversations with people I noticed that many people have a lack of clarity about the direction that their life is headed.

They have very much been going through the motions and allowing life to happen to them without a true sense of direction.

And in casually helping people find clarity on what they want and how they can get there, I found a deep sense of purpose.

And that was why I've decided to shift the focus from wellness coaching to life coaching.

If you’re not sure where to get started with weight loss, the best thing you can do is start with setting a proper goal.

That should give you a good direction of where to begin looking for ideas.

When you are setting your goal you’re best off following the S.M.A.R.T. framework. And that’s because the specificity that it calls for will be able to serve as the north star for the decisions that you will have to make.

That said, if smart goals aren’t your jazz, just define your desired outcome. At the end of your weight loss journey where is it that you want to be? What do you want your life to be like? What is it that you hope to have achieved? How is it that you want to feel?

Asking yourself those sorts of questions as you discern whatever your goal is will help to inform your starting point and the sorts of methods you may want to use.

For example, if you just want to be 20lbs lighter, you can focus heavily on your diet or you can focus heavily on exercise. But if you want to be 20lbs lighter and have more energy you may want to focus on a combination of the two.

When you figure out your specific desired outcome, you’ll be better able to identify the steps required to get there.

How dare you?

I am completely flabbergasted.

I cannot believe that you have the audacity to go around preaching self-love and self-care in the name of body positivity and yet you are refusing to participate in activities that will actively improve your life and be directly beneficial to your body.

To look after our health… To look after our body… To look after our well-being…

They are some of the most important forms of self-love and self-care that we can practice. And I am SHOOKETH at the fact that you haven't been taking them seriously.

You deserve good health. You deserve a strong capable body. And you deserve a positive sense of well-being.

We both know that you know what you need to be doing to make those things happen.

So hop off the sidelines and get to work on improving your life.

The term “wellness” can feel very… mystical at times. Feeling more like a nice idea than something that we can actually attain.

But I think that when you look at what people generally seek to improve or monitor when it comes to wellness we can get a good idea of what we generally accept as being “well”.

You’ve usually got spiritual wellness, emotional, mental, physical, and adjacent to those we look at our relationships, our stress levels, our financial situations.

And they all tend to play a part in how we perceive our experience of life.

So when I think of well-being, I am looking to see if these areas of my life add up to the feeling that life is positive.

It of course will ebb and flow as life continues to play out, but it’s that sense that life is going positively. That satisfaction with where you are with what you have and with what you’ve done and what you’re doing. That is what I consider it to mean to be “well”.

Why is it that you think you can’t lose weight?

Look around you. People are losing weight left and right. Day in and day out. And you don’t have to be any different than them.

I’m sorry to have to break it to you, but the longer you keep that losing attitude, the longer it’ll take you to finally win.

You are brilliant and capable.

Do you think it was luck that brought you this far in life? Because I don’t.

I think it was your hard work and determination.

Channel some of that into your weight loss. I know that you can do it.

Don’t go counting yourself out just yet.

Sorry, not sorry… Wellness is for everyone.

There. I said it… Someone had to.

But Dil I don't workout… Why not?
But Dil I’ve never been athletic… Would you like to be?
But Dil I’m too busy… What does your typical day look like?
But Dil I don't like exercising… Do you like being overweight? Because staying that way is the alternative.

You might as well just chill with the excuses, because whatever excuse you come with, we can find a work around.

But listen to me closely.

You will not reach your goal if you are constantly making excuses for why you aren't seeing progress.

You do not need to be a fitness ju**ie to workout. You do not need to like exercising to create well-being in your life. You are never too busy to take care of yourself.

There’s a misconception that you need to be a certain type of person to workout or exercise and see the benefits.

I’m here to set the record straight. That is not the case.

Wellness is for everyone. From the couch potato to the gym rat and for everyone in between.

Kill the excuses and get to it.

You don't need to have the goal of changing something about your appearance to begin exercising.

It can be a motivator for some, sure, but usually not very strong ones.

How nice would it be to feel confident in your body’s ability to run around with your kids or nieces and nephews and know you won't feel absolutely run down the next day.

How about feeling confident that if you fall, you won’t be at risk of serious injury.

Or that a cushy couch low to the ground won't be a challenge for you to get off of.

Or even just feeling more secure in your ability to take with the groceries.

Regular physical activity keeps your body primed to perform those regular activities of daily living.

It also decreases your risk for many chronic diseases and increases the longevity of your life.

So do it for function, do it for health, or go ahead and do it for the good looks.

Just make sure that you do it.

Forget about everyone else's thoughts and focus on your own.Do what you need to to live the life that you want.If other ...

Gather ‘round. There’s something I need you to know.

You Deserve Change.

I know that sometimes we can feel undeserving of things that are good for us. Often because of something that we’ve done to someone else or something someone else has said to us.

But look…

I want you to throw those feelings out. Because you’ve felt them long enough and they aren't serving you anymore.

They are only holding you back from becoming the person that you deeply want yourself to be.

I believe in you 100%. I believe that you have the capacity to see that your vision comes true.

Now I need you to believe that for yourself too.
