Many of the residents enjoy different watercolor art, but one of their favorite things to paint is birds. This is because we have a few bird feeders around the community that the residents enjoy watching. They come visit all hours of the day, but in the early hours are the best when it's cool in the morning.

Reminiscing questions meet physical and mental workouts for the residents and have been a new favorite of ours. The residents love sharing stories, but it can be hard if you don’t ask the right questions. So what better way to do that than by making a reminiscing ball filled with tons of questions to answer? Are there any questions you enjoy when talking with your loved ones?

Check out our final product. 🙂 Our handcraft project was a blast to do with the residents. Ada and Janice had the wonderful idea of doing pottery art with the residents and their hands, so we could display it in our activity room as an art piece.

We were able to do the whole process of making pottery, which involves selecting and preparing the clay, shaping the clay, drying the piece, bisque firing, glazing, and finally, glaze firing. The residents were also able to decorate their hand pieces with other stamps.

Thank you, Ada and Janice, for making this art piece with the residents.

The garden has fully taken off and is thriving every day. We have been lucky to enjoy the nice weather early in the morning before it gets too hot. The cool breeze, the right amount of sun, and good company always make for good conversation in the morning.
