UPDATE: She has been found and is safe amd sound at home!!!

Our missing dog is Cassie. She is a 10 year old SF Australian Shepherd. She is a black tricolor. She has been missing from SW Loveland since 9/3 @ app 8pm. There hasn't been a sighting I'm aware of since yesterday at noon not terribly far from home. In case someone were to being her in to you, although its sounding like she's not wanting anything to with people at the moment.

Meet Miss Sophia!!! She is the sweetest girl! Miss Sophia is looking for a new home. She recently had knee surgery so she needs rehab for the next 7 weeks. Sophia is good with cats and dogs though she can be a bit jealous and does not enjoy dogs that are super excitable. Sophia enjoys sleeping on comfy beds and couches. We’ve received numerous inquiries this week regarding Proposition 129. We have great faith in our technicians and strive to utilize their full range of skills. We recognize that they are undercompensated for their vital contributions and deserve better. However, we believe this proposition will not address those concerns; instead, it poses risks to pet care safety. The training for this midlevel position largely consists of online coursework and a brief internship, which raises concerns about entrusting someone with such limited preparation to diagnose, prescribe, and perform surgery. Our veterinarians undergo four years of rigorous education for these responsibilities.

There are many effective ways to maximize the capabilities of our veterinary technicians within their current training, which is essential for our industry to pursue. This approach would allow our doctors to focus on the critical tasks they are trained for. Therefore, we will be voting no on Proposition 129, as we do not believe it will lead to improved outcomes for our patients.

We have seen an uptick in Parvo positive dogs this week. Please make sure your dog is up to date on their vaccines. You can call us to check your dogs vaccine status or to schedule an appointment to get them up to date.
