Julia shares why she knows the importance of finding community through our Family-to-Family classes, because connecting with others who truly understand what it means to support a loved one with a mental health condition can be life changing. NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, evidence-based program led by trained family members with lived experience, offering education, perspective, and support so no one has to navigate this journey alone.

A new Family-to-Family class is starting next week, and there is still time to find community and support.

Holiday Hours Update from NAMI Southwest Ohio

Our office will be closed from Christmas Eve (December 24) through New Year’s Day (January 1). All scheduled groups and programs will continue as planned.

We believe in the importance of rest, connection, and time with loved ones during the holidays. Pausing regular office operations allows our team to recharge and return ready to continue serving our community. This reflects our commitment to wellbeing for staff, volunteers, and the individuals and families we support.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, help is available at any time.
Call or text 988 to reach the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline for free, confidential, 24/7 support.
You can also text “NAMI” to 741741 to connect with a trained crisis counselor by text.

Support is always available, even when our office is closed.

As we wrap up our last Sharing Hope session of the year this Saturday, we wanted to take a moment to ask Angel why this program is so important to her.

Sharing Hope creates a free, safe space to talk about mental health and wellness, especially within Black and African ancestry communities, where honest conversations about how we are really doing can be hard to start. It is about connection, understanding, and healing together.

Angel shares how this experience has helped her feel seen, supported, and part of a community that truly understands.

Programs like Sharing Hope save lives by making sure no one has to struggle in silence. Your support helps keep these conversations going and ensures that more people can find understanding, hope, and community when they need it most. If you want to support this lifesaving work, go to namiswoh.org/give.

Your support makes connection possible. 💚

This year, we increased our Sharing Hope programming by 50%, bringing even more Black families and communities together for honest, culturally grounded conversations about mental health, stigma, healing, and support.

Sharing Hope creates space to learn, share stories, and build trust. It opens doors to care that too many people have been denied.
But we can’t continue this growth without you.

Your gift keeps these life-changing programs free and accessible to everyone who needs them.

Donate today at namiswoh.org/give and help us keep Sharing Hope alive in our community.
