Birr has worked in mental health for over 20 years. Birr is experienced working with individuals from all walks of life and specializes in working with multicultural related issues, trauma, relationship difficulties, conflict resolution, parent-child relationship issues, recovering from divorce, co-parenting, attachment, depression, career counseling, substance abuse, marital difficulties, grief a

nd loss and personal growth. Birr also is dedicated to working with teenage girls, LGBTQIA, and women as a focal point of her practice. Birr received her Bachelor's Degree from University of Cincinnati and her Master's of Science in Mental Health Clinical Counseling from Wright State University. Birr believes all individuals have the ability to move forward and achieve personal growth and recovery no matter how complex the challenge to over it appears. Birr uses an eclectic mix of therapies to address your specific needs and modalities that are tailored to fit you. Birr believes that mindfulness, self-compassion and the mind, body, spirit connection when integrated appropriately assist the process of healing and moving towards self-actualization. Birr is committed addressing multicultural needs in our developing society. She comes from a multicultural family and understands the difficulties that can occur with interfaith and in*******al personal dynamics can present. She is a social justice warrior and is committed to diversity equity and inclusion. Birr is licensed as a Supervising Professional Clinical Counselor and has a passion for training and motivating new counselors to further the profession. Birr completed her certification to become a mental health disaster specialist in order to help unburden others during times of crisis and disaster Ms. Birr believes all individuals should have access to food, shelter, safety, and clothing especially in times of crisis. Birr is also dedicated to working with foster youth and is adept at using trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy to help ease the severe symptoms that can often come with separation from family. Birr is now seeing client's in the Mason/Loveland/Deerfield Township/Indian Hill/Montgomery/Maineville areas.
