Learning at TheraSWIM! One of our values at TheraSWIM is that we are Progressive! We always strive to offer services with high clinical excellence! Bringing in on-site training is a great way for our therapists to learn more. This weekend, we brought in specialized education from Pediasuit on using the Spider Cage and at our staff meeting last week, we learned about Dynasplint and how it could possibly help our patients. What techniques and therapeutic methods would you like to see us learn more about?

One of our PTs, Dr. Jessica Winandy, offers Dry Needling to patients ages 12 and up! Dry Needling can help individuals with pain, muscle tension, spasticity, decreased range of motion, and motor/sensory processing challenges. Our PTs, OTs, and adaptive swimming instructors will work with you and your child to achieve function, ability, and skill in the water- which translates into better gross motor ability on land, higher confidence levels, and safety around water. We pride ourselves in offering high quality physical therapy and adaptive lessons to children of all types of ages and special needs. All instructors and therapists are required to complete the Swim Whisperer certification by Swim Angelfish, a special needs curriculum that focuses on helping all children learn to swim faster with less discomfort than traditional methods.
