Mercyhealth Family Medicine Residency Program–Rockford was proud to partner with United Way of Rock River Valley on September 20 to bring Reach Out & Read to Mercyhealth Alpine! 📚

Families enjoyed a fun-filled morning of stories and games, with special thanks to local author Karla Clark, Hammy the Hog, and Dr. Naser Khan for sharing their storytelling talents. 💙

Reach Out & Read helps promote healthy children and stronger communities by encouraging reading as a key part of childhood development and family bonding.

As part of our ongoing commitment to community health, our team regularly visits Wesley Willows to educate and engage with residents on key health topics. We’re grateful for this strong and meaningful partnership.

Earlier this month, Dr. Benedict Ikeudenta, one of our outstanding family medicine residents at Mercyhealth Alpine, spoke about fall prevention and dizziness in adults, an important topic for healthy aging and safety.

The Family Peace Center is thrilled to partner with Mercyhealth Family Medicine Residency Program Illinois. These residents have completed medical school and are under the guidance of an attending physician.
Beginning in July, residents will be available on Friday mornings to help with check ups for you or your children, advice on chronic health concerns, acute injuries, and prescriptions.

3rd year residents Ammar and Tobin participated in the National senior Health and fitness expo at the local YMCA on May 29.
Residents had a table and were able to discuss staying active and the importance of fall prevention.
