Middle aged beauties,
Good news! Maybe you don’t need to quit coffee.
But you might need to stop drinking it like you’re in your 20s. 😮💨
This is one of those things no one tells women in midlife… but your hormones are more sensitive now than they’ve ever been and they basically run the whole show.
Cortisol is your wake-up hormone, it’s job is to rise in the morning and gently bring you online. But if you wake up and immediately hit it with caffeine, you’re stacking stress on top of stress.
It feels like this:
“I need coffee to function”
“Why am I crashing by 10am?”
“Why do I feel anxious for no reason?”
“Why am I exhausted but can’t sleep?”
These are your nervous system waving a little white flag. 🏳️
After 35(ish)- we’ve got to move differently and listen to the messages our bodies are trying to speak.
That 90-minute window in the morning, is so important to the rest of your day and how your body reaponds to it. 💫😌
Don’t think of it like “another rule”, instead it’s learning how to stop working against your body.
Try it for a few days, just delay and tweak a little, and see what you notice.
