💜💜 Barb has been part of the Two Hearts family pretty much since we opened our doors. Every memory in our home includes Barb and her silly, sweet, creative soul. 💜💜 She and her family will always hold a special place in our hearts. We will miss her greatly. Rest easy, sweet Barb 💜💜

What makes a home a home? Well, a dog of course! 🐾 There are many reasons to bring an animal into your home besides the unconditional love they come with. Most studies have shown that there are both mental and physical benefits of having a therapy animal to support the elderly. 🩵 Such benefits as far as improvements in mental health include relief from social isolation and boredom and improvements in behavior in elderly with dementia. Therapy animals were also found to increase physical activity and decrease blood pressure in the elderly. 🐶 There is extra training involved with training a service dog
(as opposed to a therapy pet) in order to ensure their readiness to be around more vulnerable people. Studies show that having a service dog yields both physical and mental benefits to the elderly.
💜💜 Two Hearts Homes for Seniors has taken this information to heart and adopted a service dog for our home 5 years ago. Louie is an English Golden Retriever dog who spent his time being trained at a qualified, certified service animal school and has served as our support dog for the residents at Two Hearts Homes for Seniors. We chose to send Louie for service dog training because we want our residents to be safe, happy, and in the best hands (paws). 🐾

Two Hearts Homes For Seniors is a compassionate provider of long-term care services committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. ✨ We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative ACTIVITY AIDE to join our team and contribute to the well-being and happiness of our residents. ✨ Our focus is on creating supportive, interactive environment where our residents can thrive!

Part-Time Schedule: Work 4 to 5 hours each day, for 3 to 4 days out of the week.
Responsibilities:
🎨Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for seniors.
🧩Collaborate with the manager to create an engaging activity calendar.
🎲Adapt activities to meet the unique needs and interests of residents, ensuring inclusivity for all.
🎳Provide support and assistance to residents during activities, fostering a positive and enjoyable environment.
🎯Maintain accurate records of resident participation and document observations regarding residents' responses to activities.
💕Ensure the safety and supervision of residents during activities, reporting any concerns promptly.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
Schedule: 4-hour shifts
🔆 Daytime Monday-Friday and some Weekends (varies)
Work Location: In-person both Crown Point and Lowell locations 💜💜

🏠 HI! We are looking for someone to build a 16x18 pergola in the back yard of our Crown Point assisted living home. 🏡 Posts installed in the ground, and possibly a steel roof. Must be able to pull permits with Crown Point. ((The last person we were close to hiring couldn't figure out how to submit a rendering to the city.)) 🫣

💜💜 Some wonder where we got the name, Two Hearts… Well, two hearts coming together can be an amazing, powerful thing. 💞 Love, friendship, etc…. it begins when two hearts collide. 💞
My Grandparents would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this month. Those two hearts came together and created a beautiful family. 😇😇
My husband and I put our two hearts together to create our loving assisted living homes. Now we see the hearts of our wonderful caregivers and residents coming together & making our assisted living homes the best, most comfortable living environments that our elderly deserve in their golden years. 💜💜
