Over 100 souls gathered last night under the Full Flower Moon on the pier, over the Atlantic ocean and under the vast color changing sky. Breathing together, moving together, remembering together.

It felt like devotion, like belonging, like grace.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The Flower Moon arrives in the heart of spring, a reminder that growth is inevitable, and unfolding all around us; mirroring within us.

This gathering is an invitation to pause, breathe, release what feels heavy, and create space for what is ready to bloom.

We’ll practice behind on the wood pier with the ocean breeze, the sound of the waves, and the beauty of the moon rising above us.

Last night under the Pink Full Moon, we gathered over the ocean, and under the expansive sky… breathing with the waves, softening the grip, releasing what no longer belongs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There is a moment, right before blooming,
where everything feels uncertain. Where we are asked to trust what we cannot yet see.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This moon invited us into that space;
To loosen the grip. To let go of the stories, the fear, the holding… and remember that growth doesn’t come from force, it comes from surrender.

A quiet knowing:
✨ what is meant for you is already on its way
✨ what you’ve planted is already taking root
✨ you are allowed to grow, expand, evolve

There’s a concept in Yoga I truly love: SEVA (Sanskrit) translated as “selfless service”, but its meaning runs much deeper.

To share what has been given to you.
To hold space for others on the path.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the yogic tradition, Seva is not charity.
It is not obligation. It is a practice.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A way of dissolving the ego through service.
A way of remembering that we are not separate.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every class I guide…
every sunrise we gather…
every breath we take together…
is an offering.

Serving this community is not something I do. It is something I am deeply grateful to be able to practice.

Beneath March’s luminous Worm Full Moon and the subtle energy of the eclipse, we gather once again on the magical pier behind for an evening of movement, breath, and moonrise stillness.

This moon marks the quiet awakening of the earth; a threshold of renewal, soft emergence, and gentle transformation. With the eclipse stirring beneath the surface, we are invited to release what has felt heavy, to trust what is unfolding, and to root into what is ready to grow.

Together, we’ll move through a soulful, gentle vinyasa and grounding breathwork, opening our hearts to the rhythm of the cosmos, with the healing sounds of the ocean beneath us.

Due to unusual extreme cold weather forecasted to hit us this weekend, I’ve made the difficult but responsible decision to cancel both Saturday Jan 31st Sadhana by the Sea, and Sunday Feb 1st Full Snow Moon cOMmUNITY Yoga with Maki offerings.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yoga is a practice of awareness and connection. In temperatures like this, especially outdoors, muscles tighten, breath can feel restricted, and the risk of strain increases. It’s not just uncomfortable, and non enjoyable (imagine laying in Savasana 🥶)… it is not safe.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, we pause. We choose ahimsa (non-harm). We honor the body with wisdom. Safety is sacred.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Please stay warm my beloved Yogis, stay safe, and do your best to stay connected to your breath and to the quiet magical flow of the universe.

The February Full Moon, known as the Snow Moon, invites stillness, reflection, and quiet strength. It reminds us that rest is not stagnation, and that clarity often arises when we allow ourselves to slow down.

This all-levels practice weaves together mindful movement, breath, and intention-setting, guided by the rhythm of the ocean and the energy of the Full Moon.

Tonight’s Full Moon at the pier felt like a collective exhale.

The moon was massive, the ocean calm, the breeze sweet. Over 70 souls gathered, not to hustle, not to fix, but to remember.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We synced breath and body. We loosened the grip. We moved energy so clarity could rise. Not through effort, but through allowing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Grateful for our cOMmUNITY, for the medicine of breath, and for the reminder that the clarity we seek doesn’t come from pushing harder; It is received through presence, by softening, listening, and trusting what’s already within us.
