Next up on our Staff Spotlight is Lorena Rodriguez!

Lorena has been a part of the High Point family for the past few months, and already her impact and calm spirit have brought such richness to High Point Village. 💙

Before joining High Point, Lorena worked at the State Supported Living Center, where she was able to grow her passion for direct care through many different roles. From clerical work and working in the diner, to implementing life skills classes, planning events and activities, selling residents’ handmade crafts, and leading a vocational arts camp — Lorena truly did it all!

As one of our incredible Dream Big Coordinators, Lorena leads her class with excellence each and every day. She brings a calm, nurturing presence that makes those around her feel supported, encouraged, and valued. Her impact continues to make our Dream Big program stronger and even more impactful to our Villagers each day.

We are so thankful for the calmness, joy, and compassion Lorena brings to our High Point Village family every single day! ✨

Ramzi has been a part of the High Point family for over a year! Her passion for serving individuals with IDD shines through in all she does! From volunteering at camps for individuals with disabilities in high school to working as a personal care assistant and later a registered behavioral therapist at Lubbock Autism Academy, Ramzi has always had a heart for direct care and service for individuals with IDD!

As one of our incredible Dream Big Coordinators, Ramzi leads her class with excellence every day. She fosters a culture of independence, confidence, and growth that continues to make our Dream Big program stronger and more impactful to our Villagers!

Our next staff spotlight is Maddie Havens ✨

Maddie has been part of the High Point Village family for two years! She first joined us as an intern during her senior year of college—and quickly realized she didn’t want to leave.

Today, Maddie leads her pod in caring for our beautiful garden, where they grow flowers, vegetables, and herbs. If you’ve ever seen one of their bouquets, you know just how special they are—each one uniquely crafted and grown with love by our villagers.

We are so grateful for the joy, dedication, and care Maddie brings to High Point Village every day 💛
