Today in the spirit of this month, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo and TTUHSC GIA of Lubbock came together to collaborate for a memory screening event for the wonderful people of Amarillo.

What an honor it was to work with our TTUHSC Family at the Amarillo campus, while also getting to provide such a vital resource to the folks who showed up today.

In recognition of National Memory Screening Day, Texas Tech Physicians Internal Medicine, in collaboration with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Garrison Institute on Aging, invites you to take part in free memory screenings.

Tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 14
🕣 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
⚫ 8–8:30 a.m. — Opening ceremony
⚫ 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m. — Free memory screenings
⚫ 10–11 a.m. — Guest speaker, Adrienne Johnson, Ph.D.
📍 Texas Tech Physicians, first-floor lobby, 1400 S. Coulter

These quick, 10-minute screenings include simple questions and tasks that can help identify whether further evaluation might be beneficial. While not a diagnostic test, a memory screening can be an important first step in understanding changes in memory or cognitive function.
