Big news for West Texas healthcare!

The TTUHSC Garrison Institute on Aging Memory Clinic has been officially recognized as an Age-Friendly Health System Participant by the Institute For Healthcare Improvement (IHI).

Under the leadership of Director Dr. Jonathan Singer, the clinic is among the first in the nation to implement age-friendly healthcare frameworks. By focusing on the "4Ms", the Clinic ensures older adults receive compassionate, evidence based care that respects their dignity.

From comprehensive evaluations to dedicated caregiver support services like Creative Minds and the GUIDE Program, the GIA Memory Clinic continues to serve families across more than 30 counties in Texas and New Mexico.

The Alzheimer’s Football League (ALZFL) of Lubbock is hosting their annual flag football game, with their all women's teams, the Firecrackers and the Bombshells.🏈

This league is Lubbock based, and raises funds through an annual game to support Alzheimer's research and families. By collaborating with organizations like the TTUHSC Garrison Institute on Aging, AFL ensures to in West Texas, research for this disease and other dementias.

Tickets are $25 and include admission to both the game and the post game celebration. So join us for some Football with a cause!
