Join us in celebrating National ASC Month! Ambulatory surgery centers provide a safe, cost-effective alternative to hospital-based outpatient surgery for many patients and procedure, such as our specialties of Bariatrics, ENT, General Surgery, GI, Interventional Pain Management, Neurosurgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Urology -- many of which we perform using the DaVinci surgical robot and other minimally-invasive techniques.

We're obviously biased, but proudly so! We love our patients and they love us too -- we scored in the top percentile last year on Press-Ganey's national patient satisfaction survey!

Congratulations to our very own Clinical Director, Deidre Frizzell, winner of the NCP Rising Star Award!

Deidre has been a high achiever as long as I’ve known her. She’s consistently positive and has natural leadership abilities, which have earned her the respect and trust of her staff as well as the many surgeons and partners who’ve watched her grow from a surgical tech to her current leadership role.

This isn’t just opinion. In her first few months she increased our Employee Engagement score by 43% and then again another 9% the following year, and she’s maintained our ranking in Newsweek’s index of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers as #1 in West Texas and among the top 5% nationwide for 2023 and again for 2024.

I’ve had the pleasure of guiding, mentoring, and leading healthcare professionals in a variety of settings, but I’ve rarely had the privilege of witnessing someone take the bull by the horns and wrestle it to the ground their first time out of the gate like I have with Deidre, and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

We're so happy to share that our community voted us the "Best of the West" Outpatient Surgery Center for the third year in a row! This caps another outstanding year for the center, which was again ranked #1 in West Texas by Newsweek/Statista and among the top 5% nationally in their list of "America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers" and was consistently ranked in the top 3% of centers for patient satisfaction in Press-Ganey's independent surveys.

Credit to the amazing staff under our leaders: Clinical Director Deidre Frizzell, Nurse Manager Tiffiany Burgess, Medical Director Dr. Philip Scolaro, and Business Office Manager Leslie Ramos, as well as to our outstanding surgeons, partners, and anesthesia care providers.
