“Hello, my name is Dr. June Kang, and I am a board certified pediatrician who believes in keeping things simple. Medicine can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to your child’s health—and my goal is to make it clear and straightforward. I believe in cutting through the confusion and focusing on what truly matters—keeping children healthy and helping parents feel confident. I’m here to support the families of Lubbock every step of the way in their child’s development.”

July is UV Safety Awareness Month and UMC wants to remind you to safeguard against the sun. Follow these simple practices to keep your skin and eyes safe year-round from overexposure to UV rays!

Wear sunglasses, a broad-brimmed hat, protective clothing and SPF 30+ sunscreen - don’t forget SPF lip balm! Stay hydrated and rest in the shade when you can. Spread the word and prioritize UV safety this summer!

⭐️The PALS team is saying a heartfelt “see you later” to one of our own. Charity is beginning a new chapter with UMCP! While our hearts are heavy to see her go, we are incredibly proud and excited for everything ahead of her. Charity has left a lasting mark on PALS, and she will be deeply missed. Here’s a message from Charity, shared with love and gratitude. ⭐️

“This is with a very heartfelt and special thank you and goodbye to all of you! It has been my absolute privilege to get to serve you all as patients here at PALS. I have decided to stay with UMCP but in a different location and new position. I will miss each of you as my 16 years watching your kiddos grow has been so much fun and I am excited to have seen many of them graduate and move on in their life. I look forward to seeing you all around Lubbock as many of you already know, I run into several of you in the stores! Thank you for giving me the best years at PALS, as they continue on without me, you are in good hands! Just know you are all so special to me and I won’t forget you.
